Nepean Swim & Fitness is the culmination of many years of involvement in swimming in the Nepean area.
Our history in swimming in the local area goes back to the mid 70’s when Karen learned to swim at Eva Bory’s Swim School in 1976 and Alan learnt at Penrith Pool in 1974. We were both members of local swimming clubs and enjoyed many years of competitive swimming at all levels through to State and Australian Championships.
Karen started work as a swimming instructor in 1986 at Eva Bory’s where she progressed to become a level 2 performance swimming coach in 1994. We both managed Eva Bory’s from 1992 to 1994.
From 1994 to 1997, Karen set up and managed the first swimming program at Ripples in St Mary’s.
In 1997 we opened Fitness World Swimming and returned to manage Eva Bory’s in March 2002.
In March 2011 we opened Nepean Aquatic Centre after the closure of Fitness World Swimming in November 2010.
Our company, Nepean Swim & Fitness Pty Ltd, currently employs up to 80 staff. We also train and assess new Austswim Instructors throughout the year upon completion of their courses.
For us swimming is a passion, a passion we hope to instill in everyone associated with our company.
